Two days and counting

Well, it's finally here. We leave in two days. It's been a long time for planning and we're not getting any sleep. But soon we'll be on the road.
We've started the horses on all the feed they'll be eating for the next 22 days and Tom is diligently cleaning and conditioning our tack.
All the animals, including Gaitway know there is something going on.
We've checked the weather in all our travel zones. It appears it's been really nice. We may get some rain up in Washington, but every place else has been in the mid 50's at night and low 80's during the day.

Poor Wyat! He looks plum tuckered out from the stress of it all. Glad your first leg went smoothly and you are there safe and sound. Now go get some sleep!

Yahoo!!! Scharly is so jealous that Schnapps is going on a trip!!! and to the North Pacific. Oh well, she'll just have to enjoy her mister in this over 100 degree weather. Be safe, and have fun you guys.

Hi Guys! You must really be excited now, it's almost time. When you get here at Vineyard Stables, it will be about 90 - 100 degress, probably our hottest day so far this year. But it's nice and cool in our barn and on the trails through the woods, plus for the two legged family we have a nice air conditioned room to kick back in! Showers for you and the horses too. Keep plenty of Pepto Bismal handy until you get on the road. Is your USRider membership up to date? I just renewed mine. This is going to be a great adventure for you guys and I hope all of it is wonderful. I'll be seeing you in August on the last leg in Mammoth. Woo Hoo! I almost can't wait.

I can't believe it's time for you guys to leave already. It seems like just a short while ago you had flown up to see about Tom's potential new baby. Now he's all grown up and ready to come home! I hope you guys have the perfect adventure, I know everything will go perfectly. We will be anxiously waiting for your return and to meet our new nephew!

Hi mom, looks like it's working. I thought you were going to leave me behind but as soon as I saw my travel bag I knew I was going to be part of this big adventure. Can't wait to meet all my new friends.
